dhillongagan2008

The Himachal Pradesh State Cyber Crime Police Station at Shimla organised an online 'cyber crime awareness' training programme for all 130 police stations in the state by connecting them through a web portal from September 23 to September 25. JL Negi, RBI Banking Ombudsman Chandigarh, was the chief speaker during the training.

On the first day of the training, investigating officials from police stations falling in all districts of the northern range joined the session. Police stations in the central range joined the training during the second day while those in the southern range participated during the final day of the programme. A total of around 500 police officials participated in the three-day training.

Negi told the participants that RBI has directed all banks to promptly furnish information if sought by any official investigating agency while probing cases of cyber crime. Banks have also been directed to refund the money without delay in the account of a cyber fraud victim if money was withdrawn from his or her account without any mistake or negligence on his or her part.

Additional SP of the cyber crime police station Narvir Singh Rathour also imparted various cyber security tips and lessons to the participants during the session.
